A couple weeks ago, when my mom came into town, she took me shopping (even though I gave it up for Lent… whoops.). I couldn’t help but snag a couple items from J.Crew’s latest spring collection. In the past I haven’t been hugely into the color pink, but recently, I have realized that it meshes well with my skin tone because my undertones are so pink/red. Blush has become a great go-to for me, and I love stripes, so this shirt was a must-have. J.Crew has had some pretty great deals lately, so it didn’t break the bank either. My best friend Lexi recently got a new camera, so I threw on my new shirt and we headed out to find some of the prettiest ATL blooms for a backdrop.
I tucked the shirt into Rolla straight-leg, distressed, high-waisted jeans and paired it with some tie-up multicolored Soludos block heels and a Kate Spade New York blush bag with a cheetah-print bandana tied to it, and called it a day. Some of the best blooms were right across the street from my apartment in Piedmont Park, which on this particular day was buzzing. It is one of the first days that ATL has been above 70 degrees—So naturally it felt like a summer afternoon, which was refreshing comparatively to the harsh winter we’ve had. One of the best things about Atlanta is that there is always something new to go see or do. So, after Piedmont Park, we popped over to Westside Provisions to stop by Ann Mashburn and Serena & Lilly. Both have the most idyllic storefronts and are recently opened/renovated.
Aren’t these swinging chairs to die for? If I had a place to put them, I would definitely get one! Lastly, we headed over toward the Georgia Tech campus since it is right down 10th Street, and there is a cute neighborhood around and a ton of great restaurants. There were several gorgeous, brightly colored Azaleas. The smell of Antico’s pizza was wafting, and it didn’t help the fact that we were so hungry we almost ate our hands, so we wrapped up the shoot and headed home for dinner.
